Season 2008

In 2008, Markus' main task is to race in the FIA GT Championship for Prospeed Competition. Prospeed is the official works team of Porsche lining up two new Porsche GT3-RSRs for the GT2 class. Markus is sharing the car with a fellow Finn, Mikael Forsten, a well-known horse rider and enthusiastic race driver. The other Prospeed car is driven by works drivers Emmanuel Collard and Richard Westbrook.

Markus is also racing in the Le Mans Series. Again for Porsche, but this time for an English outfit James Watt Automotive. Markus is racing with the car owner Paul Daniels and well-established endurance racer Tim Sugden. Unfortunately, Markus can't drive in the season final in Silverstone as the race is at the same time with the 7th round of the FIA GT.

When his international GT-calendar allows, Markus is joining an old friend and teammate Leo Van Sande to race with Leo's Ligier LS49 prototype in the Endurance Proto series.

In addition to the above, Markus is visiting the Belgian GT Championship and selected endurance races such as the Dubai and Zolder 24 Hours races.
