Season 2010

Markus is racing in the new FIA GT1 World Championship series in Belgian Marc VDS Racing Team's Ford GT with Renaud Kuppens. Markus will also make his debut in the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans with Marc VDS Racing Team and together with Bas Leinders and Eric De Doncker, the Le Mans trio will enter in the 2nd Le Mans Series event, the 1000km of Spa in May, as preparation for the French classic a month later.

In addition to his Marc VDS duties, Markus is continuing a 3rd year in a row at Liege/Belgium -based Porsche works team Prospeed Competition. Markus will share one of the team's Porsche 911 GT3 R with a fellow Finn, Petri Lappalainen in the FIA GT3 European Championship.

The season already got an early start in January in the Rolex 24 at Daytona and as both Marc VDS and Prospeed will enter cars for the 24 Hours of Spa, Markus is likely to land a deal for the top Belgian race, thus completing his impressive 2010 calendar with 3 of the greatest endurance events in the world.

On top of the above, Markus continues his coaching activities and is sure to appear in some one-off events in national GT events and endurance races around Europe.
