Eurosport - Le Mans 24 Hours

Markus has been invited to be the professional commentator during the qualifiying and race of the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans.  With 4 seasons of Le Mans Series and a total of 15 starts in 24-hour races under his belt, Markus is the logical choice to help the experienced Eurosport crew to familiarize the Finnish audience with the technical and sportive aspects of the biggest motor sport event of the world. Markus will share the Finnish studio with the regular speaker Jukka Töyli.

"It's an honour to work for a prestigious TV-channel like Eurosport. I would like to race in Le Mans, but the next best thing is to help the Finns to follow the race. We have about 20 hours of live broadcast during the weekend, so it's a tough challenge for us and especially for me, because it's the first time I'll work live in a TV studio. Usually, we double-stint during the night in a 24h race, but this time we need to do a stint of over 12 hours during the night. I'm looking forward to it and hope that everybody will enjoy.

The battle between the diesel giants will be fierce, maybe better than ever with Audi coming with the new R15, but I will make sure that all the other categories are covered, as well. After all, we have Mika Salo racing for Risi Competizione in LMGT2 and it will be fun to see how he's getting on in the battle against the other Ferraris and Porsches. I'm guessing that the Felbermayr Porsche driven by Marc Lieb and Wolf Henzler, both teammates of mine last year, will push Mika & co to their limits.

It's a shame that I can't race at Alastaro this weekend in the 2nd round of the Nordic GT3, but as there's nothing going on in France on Friday, I'll be there  to help No Brakes Motorsport to prepare for their race weekend."
